These are notes for above drills;

<Drill 1>

4) びじゅつかん(bijutsu kan) means an art musium.

<Drill 2>

3) パワーでんき(pawaa denki) is a fictional name of an appliances store.

パワー (pawaa) means "power" and でんき(denki) means "electronics"

4) When you do/will not go to anywhere, you describe it in the negative form "いきません(ikimasen)".

In this case you state your destination as "nowhere" as "どこも(dokomo)" without a partcle "に(ni)".

<Drill 3>

3) "くに(kuni)" mean "home country".

5) & 7) When you use a time expression with a specific time of the day, you have to add a particle "に(ni)" after it. For example, if you want to tell:

"I will go to the bank at 3pm."

you say "わたしは ３じに ぎんこうに いきます。(watashi wa 3-ji ni ginkou niikimasu)".

You'll learn more details about this particle in Lesson 7.

< Drill for the Short Dialogue 1>

The situation of Short Dialogue 1 is that Chan-san happens to see Suzuki-san in front of the office carrying a large baggage.  Chan-san just takes a guess from his appearance that he may be going on a business trip.

Her first question would commonly become a trigger of social  communication such with coworkers, neighbors, classmates, and so on.  

The drill gives more different situations that Mr. Smith sees different people in different appearances.  Here are the additional notes of vocabulary.

1) おでかけ（odekake）- going out

2) かいもの（kaimono）- shopping

3) りょこう（ryokou）- travel

Please make sure that you have to add the particle に after specified time expressions such as specific time of the day.

< Drill for the Short Dialogue 2>

We just replace the situation from bus to train in this drill.

You have to read the map carefully to figure out which train line goes to which stations.

"おきゃく(okyaku)" means a passenger, and "えきのひと(eki no hito)" means a station crew in the example dialogue.

All train lines are color-coded as in the legends:

If you want to tell a train line in green color, it's the Marunouchi-sen of subway as "ちかてつの まるのうちせん(chikatetsu no marunouchi-sen".

If you want to tell a train line in red color, it's the Yamanote-sen of JR as "JRの やまのてせん(jei aaru no yamanote-sen)".
